Harvest on the Farm Features Music, Theater, History, Animals and More

The public is invited for a day of music, theater and a celebration of Saline’s history at Harvest on the Farm, from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the Rentschler Farm Museum,

The annual fall festival, presented by the Saline Area Historical Society, features wagon rides, children’s activities, farm animals, food wagons, crafters, demonstrations, tours of the farm, music by the Saline Big Band, and performances by the Saline Area Players.

There will also be an interactive demonstration on barn building, courtesy of the Chelsea Lumber Co. and Michigan Barn Preservation Network.

At noon, local officials and members of the historical society gather to recognize the museum’s designation on the National Register of Historic Places. Mayor Brian Marl will be on hand to dedicate a granite rock and bronze plaque.

The Saline Area Players present Twisting with Aesop at 1 and 3 p.m. in the upper hay barn.

The Saline Big Band performs at 2 p.m.

Admission is $1 for adults.

The Rentschler Farm Museum is located at 1265 E. Michigan Ave., east of Faurecia.
