Saturday promises to be a fun day for families in the Saline area. With temperatures in the 30s and 40s, people will want to dress warm, but even with sunny skies giving way to clouds, people should stay dry during outdoor events.
Here's a look at the three Easter-related community events planned for Saturday.
The 14th annual Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pick up your "Egg Hunt Bunny Sheets" at Busch's and then hunt through four different trails in Saline. College goodies, treats and eggs along the way. And all roads to to Mickey's Dairy Twist -- the perfect place to enjoy a cone with family. The Eggstravaganza is 100 percent free!
Springfest at the Rec Center
One of Saline's most popular springtime events is Springfest at the Rec Center. The Egg Scavenger Hunts begin at 11:30 a.m. behind the Rec Center. It's aimed at kids 2-7, with different groupings by age. Cost is $10. Lunch with the Bunny provides a pizza lunch and gives kids a chance to meet the Bunny. Lunch, which costs $10, starts at noon. Kids ages 6-11 can participate in the Egg Dive in the Rec Center pool. It starts at 1 p.m. Cost is $10.
Pittsfield Township Eggstravaganza
Pittsfield Township's fun takes place at Lillie Park on Platt Road, just south of Ellsworth, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Egg Scrambles take place at 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Kids can also meet the bunny, get their face painted, pet animals and decorate baskets.
