Washtenaw County Sheriff Investigates Ellsworth Road Burglary

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a residential burglary on the 8000 block of West Ellsworth Road in Lodi Township.

The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., April 1.

Entry was gained through an unlocked door. Electronic equipment was stolen.

No arrests have been made.

The WSCO provided residents with tips to protect their property:

  • Prune your shrubs
  • Draw the blinds
  • Don't advertise new purchases
  • Get motion sensors for lights
  • Set timers for indoor lights
  • Reinforce strike plate on doors
  • Shield windows near doors
  • Install deadbolts
  • Lock all doors and windows
  • Install and always set a home alarm
  • Get a dog
  • Know your neighbors
  • Join neighborhood watch
