The Saline Rec Center opened its doors on June 19, 1991 and has been serving the Saline community for 25 years! From swim lessons to fitness classes, volleyball leagues to Kids Camp, Daddy Daughter Dances to Halloween parties, there's something for everyone at the Saline Rec Center.

To commemorate its 25 years of service to the Saline community, the Saline Rec Center is hosting a special 25th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at 1866 Woodland Drive in Saline.

The festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with an opening ceremony in front of the Rec Center, featuring remarks from distinguished guests including Saline Mayor Brian Marl, State Representative Gretchen Driskell, U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg, and mParks Chief Operating Officer Ann Conklin.

The Saline Rec Center doors will then open for a special cake cutting ceremony, as well as hot dogs and other refreshments donated by local businesses, music, swimming, inflatable bouncers, face painting, magic tricks, volleyball and other outdoor games, and much more. The Saline Rec Center is pleased to offer all these festivities, fitness and fun for FREE to the Saline community during the three-hour event, so it’s a great opportunity for Saline area residents and families to come and “Check Out the Rec”!

Leading up to the 25th Anniversary Celebration, the Saline Rec Center will also kick off its annual summer “Movies in the Park” series with a showing of Finding Nemo and lots of outdoor fun on Friday, June 10th at 6:30 PM at Mill Pond Park in Saline.
