Today’s Q&A is with Joseph Pryor, who plays Tony Kirby the SHS Drama Club production.
Name: Joseph Pryor
Parents: Lori and Kevin Pryor
Character: Tony Kirby
Tell us about your character: Tony Kirby is the boss's son. He is head over heels for Alice Sycamore and is doing everything possible to make it work. He is very classy and very charming at times he tries to make his parents see how good a couple Alice and him make.
What’s challenging about this role? The toughest part about this role is the mood changes he has -- from being love struck, to sad, then angry. It's hard keeping in that mood and trying to progress through them in a natural kind of way.
Why do you think people will enjoy this play? What I think most people will love about this play is the classic boy meets girl story with a twist and all of the wacky and crazy things about the family.
Former roles/plays: This is only my first play with the SHS drama club and my first lead! I was in GREASE! The Musical I was a jock.
What do you enjoy about being onstage? The thing I love about being onstage... Everything. That seems like a cliché answer but it's the truth. Being with my friends (who feel more like my family), and doing what I love, and giving the audience a good experience, going into theatre.
