City Invites Public to Meet New Clerk, Terri Royal

Tecumseh resident Terri Royal, who most recently worked for the City of Chelsea, will be welcomed to her new city clerk's post at a meet and greet Sept. 9.

The Saline City Council would like to invite everyone to come meet our newly hired City Clerk, Teresa “Terri” Royal. Ms. Royal started her position with the City of Saline on August 19, 2013. She comes to us with 16 years of governmental experience including time as the Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Chelsea.

Mayor Pro-Tem Linda TerHaar, who served as a member of the search committee, stated “In an excellent pool of candidates, Ms. Royal stood out in every way.  Her strong background, experience, and skills are an excellent match for the Clerk's responsibilities.  During her interview, she conveyed wonderful enthusiasm for the Clerk's work and for the City of Saline.  Ms. Royal will be a great addition to the City team.”

The Meet & Greet is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m., prior to the start of the regular City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Saline City Hall Council Chambers located at 100 N. Harris St. in Saline.
