Incumbent Saline City Council member Linda TerHaar has submitted her nominating petition to the city clerk’s office and should appear on the November ballot.
TerHarr and fellow incumbent Jim Roth are the only two candidates who have submitted nominations petitions as of this morning. Sal Randazzo and Terri Sibo have pulled nominating petitions but not yet filed them.
The terms of TerHarr, Roth and Jim Peters expire at the end of the year. Peters recently said he was undecided about running for re-election. Voters elect city council members for two-year terms.
Anyone who wishes to have their name on the ballot must submit nominating petitions and other qualifying documents with the city clerk’s office by 4 p.m. Aug. 13. Petition packets and information to become a candidate are available in the Clerk’s office at 100 N. Harris Street. Contact the City Clerk at (734) 429-4907 ext. 2216 for further information.
