Contestants are sought for “The Pageant Show,” a pageant-like event for women 60 and older.

The event, held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in the auditorium at Liberty School, is being organized by the Saline Area Senior Center.  Rosalin Guastella, the 2013 Ms. Senior Michigan, will be in attendance with Kaye Rittinger, first runner up, and Charlotte Warner-Ambrose, second runner up.

“The Pageant Show” is a replica of the Miss Senior Michigan Pageant. It allows attendees and participants to experience the excitement and entertainment of a pageant. The event includes a talent portion and question and answer session.

Rina Chemin, Director of the Saline Area Senior Center, attended a senior pageant unsure of what to expect.

“It was one of the best things I ever did. I met so many wonderful and nice people who participated. They were genuinely nice, beautiful people,” Chemin said.

The public will be invited to attend. The cost will be $3. For more information call 429-9274.
