Don't miss out on getting your holiday water workout. Regular water aerobic students as well as anyone interested in trying water aerobics for the first time are welcome! Sonya will lead an hour long water aerobic class in the small pool (temp is 88 degrees and the water is only 4 feet deep with ramped entry). Drop in rates are: $3 for members of the Rec Center and $5 for non-members.
All swimmers in Young Swimmer and Level classes are invited to our Rec Center swimming fun meets. This is a great opportunity to give kids the experience of a non-competitive swim meet at the end of their swim lesson session to show off their skills to family and friends. Each swimmer will swim in up to 4 ability level appropriate events in either the lap or leisure pool. No disqualifications. Medals and certificates will be awarded to all participants. Beginner level participants will have an instructor or lifeguard in the water swimming near them for added safety.
On a picture-perfect Friday evening, Salinians converged on Mill Pond Park for the first of three movies in the park scheduled for this summer. Perhaps because of the popularity of the movie, “Frozen,” or maybe because of the weather the turnout was amazing.
If you haven't been to the Rec Center in a while, you may not know about all the new improvements that have been made. If you live in the Saline Area School District, you won't want to miss out on membership savings. Come "Check out the Rec" if you take a tour, you will get a free gift.
