SALINE, Mich. – Mayor Brian Marl today invited all Saline-area senior citizens to the 2013 Saline Senior Conference later this month.
“I’m looking forward to the second year of this annual event,” said Marl. “It’s always a pleasure to spend time with the older residents of our community, and we’re planning a conference that will provide valuable information, as well as allow the opportunity for residents to ask questions and discuss issues important to them.”
The 2013 Saline Senior Conference will be:
Friday, May 24
10 a.m. – 12 noon
Saline Area Senior Center
7190 North Maple Road
Complementary lunch and door prizes will be provided. Guest speakers will include State Representative Gretchen Driskell, Saline City Manager Todd Campbell, City Assessor Catherine Scull, City Treasurer Mickie Jo Bennett, and other additional special guests. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about property assessing, hardship exemptions, utility billing, municipal finances as well as programs sponsored by the City to reduce the cost of prescription drugs for seniors and provide insurance policies for water mains and sewer lines.
Every senior, regardless of residency, is encouraged to attend this free event.
