The Music continues... with local group, The Woodshed Pickers

Saturday, July 30, 2016 - 6:30pm
Brewed Awakenings Cafe (Corner of Michigan Ave. and State St.)

The Woodshed Pickers is a young family who enjoys woodsheddin' on different kinds of instruments playing ol' time, bluegrass, gospel, and traditional songs. The music also includes some porch picked originals.  The line-up includes flute fiddlin' dog house bass slappin', Anna; jaw harpin' vocalist, Evie; the legendary banjo lover 'sit-n-pick' a harmonica "what key are we in?", Rena; and Git-Fiddlin' Dixie (aka Mom, who swore she was teachin' a quartet of fiddlers). You'll find that as 'woodshed pickers', they may not always play their own instruments. . .might even pick up a stray instrument along the way.  All enjoy singin' pickin' and grinnin' purely by woodshed standards but don't let that scare ya.  Come on out and join us and it's sure to be a spontaneously fun music-filled time.
