Regarding the legacy of Two Twelve Arts, Margie Bovee said, “They got a lot of people together, which was what our mission was: to form a community of artists who would be able to network and become friends.”
On Friday night that network of friends was on full display.
Saline District Library today announced that David Maraniss – author of Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story – will pay a special visit to the library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, for an afternoon of first-rate storytelling; book signing and question-and-answer time with guests.
The Saline New Horizons Band, under the direction of Robert L. Albritton, Jr., is presenting its annual spring concert May 22 with the theme “A Trip to New York! New York!”
The free admission concert will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Saline, 1200 N. Ann Arbor Street, at 3 p.m.
The concert band will play selections representing musical visits to Broadway, Carnegie Hall, Manhattan Beach and points around town.
