On Memorial Day, Americans honor those who died in service to the country. The community of Saline was blessed with great weather Monday as people gathered for Memorial Day activities.
“This organization has been so fundamental to the success of our community for a long time but it was kind of hidden. And look at it now. It’s right out front. It’s fantastic,” said Driskell, speaking before a ribbon cutting at the grand opening of Saline Area Social Service’s new home at 224 W. Michigan Ave.
Mayor Brian Marl invited all Saline-area senior citizens to the 2016 Saline Senior Conference June 10.
“I’m looking forward to the fifth year of this annual event,” said Marl. “It’s always a pleasure to spend time with the older residents of our community, and we’re planning a conference that will provide valuable information, as well as allow the opportunity for residents to ask questions and discuss issues important to them.”
