Commencement speaker Jim Harbaugh, coach of the University of Michigan football team, encouraged the graduates to attack their goals with enthusiasm, obedience, principle, integrity and constant hustle.
Sydney Jarvela scored twice and Emma Wright, Tate Robison, Allison Luurtsema and Bella Petrock also scored as Saline defeated Monroe, 6-0. Goalie Lauren Wilkie wasn’t busy but stopped a couple of long shots for the shutout.
The Saline varsity girls’ tennis team tied Dexter, 4-4, on an afternoon when the team honored its seniors.
The 2016 Saline High School Commencement will be held at Saline High School’s Hornet Stadium located at 1300 Campus Parkway, Saline, at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 5.
Gates to the field will open at 5 p.m.
The line for commencement entrance will begin at the gate entrance adjacent to the south parking lot. There will be a designated handicapped section in the stadium for those who need special seating accommodations. Those guests will be able to sit with one (1) other family member in that section.
No prior reservations and/or considerations can be made.
