In conjunction with the Foundation for Saline Area Schools (FSAS) and the Heritage PTO, the Saline Area Schools is proud to be supporting LAUNCH (4C Your Future at Saline Schools). This is the 2015/16 District Strategic Grant. The goal of the grant is to bring Project Based Learning (PBL) which will include a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) approach to learning to Heritage School. Further, the 4 Cs (creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking) will be emphasized throughout the projects that students participate in throughout the year.
For the first time in the history of the event, the judges couldn’t settle on a single victor. Heritage Elementary School and Pleasant Ridge Elementary School were co-champs.
Saline Middle School sixth graders returned to Heritage Elementary School Friday to join students and teachers Kelly Widman and Julie Myers for the official opening of a new walking trail. Last year, fifth graders in the next generation classroom wrote a grant proposal that helped fund the $20,000 trail.
