ROAD DIET: Saline City Council Leans Toward Paying for Study

Council learned that MDOT appears cool to the idea of slimming down Michigan Avenue when the road is reconstructed in 2016. Though it may cost $15,000, council wants a study to determine the viability of a road diet and other traffic calming methods for downtown.

Saline's Quantum Signal Receives First Plates to Test Automated Vehicles On the Road

Quantum Signal in Saline is the first company to receive manufacturer plates from the Michigan Secretary of State under a new law that broadens eligibility for those allowed to test automated vehicles on Michigan roads. March 27 was the first day the plates were allowed to be issued under Public Act 231 of 2013.
