Administrators and board trustees from Saline Area Schools addressed for the first time last week the notion of potentially adopting a year-round academic calendar, setting the table for a community discussion with passionate advocates on both sides.
The few voters in Saline who turned out to vote weren’t especially keen on it, but county voters approved the 1.5-mill property tax increase proposed by the Washtenaw County Intermediate School District. This should provide Saline Area Schools with about $2.8 million a year annually.
The Saline Area Schools Board of Education approved new assignments for current administrators David Raft and Brad Bezeau at their April 26th Board of Education meeting. The assignments are for the 2016-17 school year.
