Saline's Soccer Team Won 6-0 at Tecumseh, Unbeaten in 6

The unbeaten Saline boys' soccer team improved to 3-0-3 with a 6-0 at Tecumseh Thursday.

Junior Rohan Garg scored two goals in the first half to propel Saline to the lead. Juniors Artur Engler-Pinto, Ryan McCormick, and Jake Cohen, and senior Daniel Bleske scored for the Hornets in the second half.

Senior goalie Liam Foster earned the shutout.

The junior varsity team defeated Tecumseh 8-0 and is 3-1-2 this season.

Hornets on Cruze Control at Ann Arbor Invitational

The Saline Hornets girls' golf team placed second at the Ann Arbor Invitational played Thursday at the University of Michigan.

The Hornets finished with a score of 374. Brighton won the 15-team invitational with a score of 337.

Stacy Cruze had her best day of the season and led the Hornets with a team low 88.

"(Cruze) came through today for the Hornets with only 33 putts on the difficult University of Michigan green," said coach Betsy French. "She has been playing well and continued her steady play on a day when a lot of the field had difficulty with the deep, thick rough that is being readied for the University of Michigan Women's upcoming Wolverine Invitational."

Emily White followed with a 89. Samantha Kellstrom carded a 94. Louisa Antonelli finished at 103.
