Genevieve B. Hale, Age 91, passed away on December 13, 2012 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
She was born May 21, 1921 in Detroit, the daughter of Stanislaus and Barbara (Zymula) Solak. On August 31, 1946 in Detroit, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, she married Raymond P. Hale and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1992. Genevieve was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline,and worked as a registered nurse in Detroit. She also managed the office at Hale Plastic Molds for many years.
Survivors include her son James A. (Gloria S.) Hale of Saline, her daughter Jacqueline A. Hale of Saline, and her sister-in-law Joyce Ustarbowski. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by her parents, her sister Marianne Taube, and her cousin Virginia Hale.
A Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at 11 a.m.. at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline, with the Rev. Fr. William Stevenson and the Rev. Fr. David Rosenberg, celebrants. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church or to a charity of one’s choice.
