A Clark Street man was arrested early in the morning Jan. 3 after banging on neighbors’ doors in an apartment building.
The 21-year-old man, who was drinking, according to the police report, was reportedly angry because his dog was injured in a fight with a neighbor’s dog on Jan. 1.
The case is open pending authorization for disorderly conduct charges.
Disoriented Ann Arbor Driver Taken to Hospital
A 54-year-old Ann Arbor man was transported to hospital Jan. 1 after a traffic stop. A wireless caller reported seeing a man who appeared to be asleep in his PT Cruiser at Michigan Avenue and Monroe Street. The car had been traveling about 15 miles per hour.
Police tracked the car down at Michigan Avenue and Austin Road. The driver was confused about his location, according to the report, and there was fresh damage to his front bumper. The man told police he thought he hit mailboxes but he wasn’t sure were where it happened.
Police learned he was a diabetic. An EMT from Huron Valley Ambulance determined the man suffered from low blood sugar and transported him to the hospital.
Ann Arbor Man Arrested on Drunk Driving Charge
A 33-year-old Ann Arbor man was arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired Dec. 29, according to a Saline Police report. Police spotted an erratic Saturn Vue wandering in its lane, eastbound on Michigan Avenue, according to the report.
During a traffic stop, the man told police he drank 5 or 6 beers at a local bar that night. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol content of .13, according to the report. He was arrested and the vehicle was impounded. He was released on personal recognizance after sobering up, according to the report.
