The Hornets outscored the Monroe Trojans 21-8 to take a 15-point 31-16 lead into the locker room at the half Thursday night in Monroe. Saline then cruised to an easy 54-35 win raising their season record to 9-5. The JV squad spread their points across all four quarters, scoring 10, 21, 10 and 13. They forced the Trojans into 24 turnovers for the game. In one of many highlights in the game, sophomore forward Adam Heisler sank an 8-foot right-handed hook shot, reminiscent of the play of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Bill Russell. The JV squad played without sophomore guard Trey Schrzan who is out due to an injury to his finger. His playing status for the game next week is unclear.

The JV squad will travel to Ann Arbor next Friday to play the Ann Arbor Huron River Rats. Tip off time is 5:30pm.
