Power should be restored between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 1,585 Saline area DTE Energy customers who've been without power since about 6 a.m.
A DTE Energy spokesperson said there were 20,000 customers without power in southeast Michigan in the wake of Sunday morning's ice storm, which also caused Saline Area Schools to cancel classes.
"The outage was caused by a tree that had fallen down on a powerline, disrupting the service," Les Singer said.
A crew is in the area removing the fallen tree and restringing the wire, Singer said. He guessed that power restoration would be closer to 1 p.m. than 11 a.m.
