This year over 50 artists submitted 129 works, a record number for the program. The selections were made in a blind jury process with jury members from the Saline Main Street Design Team and the City of Saline Arts & Culture Committee. “There was such a rich selection of talent this year”, commented John Anderson (Juror). “It’s great to see the tradition of Art Around Saline continuing and growing.”
In this record-setting year of submissions, the generosity of community sponsors supplemented the City of Saline Arts & Culture Committee’s modest budget, making it possible to expand the number of works that could be chosen for display downtown.
Special thanks to Earth Elements, this year’s Signature Sponsor, who donated $1,000 to the 2019 program.
