Meet the Cast for SAP's The Best of Carol Burnett Sketches

Be prepared to laugh - The Saline Area Players will present The Best of Carol Burnett Sketches.  The SHOW OPENS THURSDAY.  Performances will be at 8:00 pm on November 3, 4 & 5 and 3 PM on November 5 & 6, at Fifth Corner, 211 Willis Rd, Saline, MI, 48176. (The venue is not handicap accessible). Doors will open 30 minutes before each performance for general admission seating and for sampling of local food and beverages.

The cast has been working hard under the leadership of director Tami Hindes who also created some videos being shown to enhance the experience. Check out the photos to catch a glimpse of just some of the fun characters they will be playing. The cast includes the three gangsters shown above:  On the left is Gilbert Warila who shined in two of SAP's Christmas plays as a priest and a crazy king, and also in Honk as a Commander.  Center is Ted Covey, who hails from the Adrian area and is welcome newcomer to SAP, and on the right is Brian Trippel who was last seen in Murder & Mayhem and was in SAP's Carol Burnett Show 5 years ago.  Patti Ringe and Sara Honsowetz are seen together in a scene from As the Stomach Turns.  Patti was in SAP's last Carol Burnett show and will be reprising her role as Mama this time around.  She also played the mother in Honk.  Sara is SAP's president and has been on stage in many productions, is our head costumer, and produced many shows.  Wendy Fritz in red was also in SAP's last Carol Burnett production and has been in many shows over the years.  Nancy Klein (waving) has been in SAP's last two Halloween shows and has often been behind the scenes with hair/make-up.  Kyle Newmyer, a long-time actor with SAP with play opposite Joyce Williams, seen in Murder and Mayhem last year, in an "old folks" scene.  Cast members play multiple roles during the production.
