The City of Saline Environmental Commission, along with the Fifth Corner Teen Center and Global Electric Electronics Processing (GEEP), is excited to announce its 12th E-Waste Recycle Event, taking place April 29, 2017, at City Hall. This is a chance you to dispose of electronic devices that have outlived their usefulness, are acting up, or are just plain broken in an environmentally friendly (and free!) fashion.
Please bring any old phones, computers, printers, flat-panel televisions, &c. to City Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Volunteers from the Fifth Corner Teen Center and GEEP staff will unload it for you, sort it, and make sure it is processed in a sustainable disposal process. At this time, we are not accepting Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitors or televisions.
Visitors will receive a seedling to take home while supplies last, just in time to bring some green back into your yard this spring. If you would like additional information, please visit http://vimeo.com/127155730 to see a video detailing one of our previous E-Waste events. Last year we had over 200 cars drop off items, and we’d love to top that this year! If you know of nearby friends or family who are looking to get rid of unwanted electronics, send them to Saline City Hall, 100 N. Harris Street, Saline, MI, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on April 29, 2017, for the City of Saline Environmental Commission’s 12th E-Waste Recycle Event.
See more in the Environmental Commission’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/SalineBG/ or our blog on the Saline Post at http://thesalinepost.com/tag/salinebegreen for more information, or to post questions. See you April 29!
