Rohan Garg's second period rebound goal powered Saline to a 1-0 win over Ann Arbor Huron and at least a share of the Southeastern Conference men's varsity soccer title Tuesday night. Garg, a senior, rifled in a deflected ball from near the top of the box at 28:49 to break a scoreless deadlock between the two defensive-minded teams. Senior Chris Graber and Junior Captain Noah Taritas shared the shutout win in net for Saline. The victory moves Saline to 10-0-1 in the conference and makes it the first time since 2009 they have finished as Southeastern Conference champions. Depending on how crosstown rival Skyline fares this week, Saline will either share the conference title or have it to themselves. The Hornets overall record is 13-1-2. They travel to Coldwater on Thursday, Oct. 10 for their final regular season game. District playoffs begin on Monday, Oct. 14.
