Larry Osterling and Mary Alice Smith are working together again at the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce.

You might have heard that Larry Osterling is back in the saddle as executive director of the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce.

Smith previously worked for the chamber for more than a decade. When she left in 2014, she was the organization's special projects coordinator - working on the Christmas Parade, Summerfest 5K, golf outings, business breakfasts, awards banquets and other activities.

Smith is a life-long resident of Saline.

Osterling recently returned to the executive director's post. He'd retired from the post in 2012 after 12 years on the job. With the chamber short-staffed and heading into parade season, Osterling reached out to Smith for assistance.

Upcoming Saline Area Chamber of Commerce activities include:

  • Saline Christmas Tree Lighting, at the four corners, 6-8 p.m., Dec. 3.
  • Saline Christmas Parade, downtown Saline, 5:30 p.m., Dec. 7.
  • Treasure Trail to Santa, Busch's shopping center, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Dec. 14.
