Perhaps you noticed you haven't received your Saline Post morning email the past few days. My apologies.
I've been rebuilding The Saline Post so that it's quicker and more reliable when news breaks.
Last month the website failed as thousands of local residents visited the site for breaking news stories. The new website is a lot simpler and should be much much easier on the server when big stories break.
We've got most of the news and other content back in place, but you'll notice many images and files missing. People can visit our old site at http://thesalinepost.com/archive for all the old photo galleries. Our events calendar will need to be repopulated, as well. It will be a few more days until the events calendar returns to the morning newsletter.
Registered users will now have the ability to post three different kinds of content: 1) Articles 2) Dates (Calendar events) and 3) Classified Ads. Registration is free and posting is free. We'll continue to use the content that you post in our bi-monthly newspaper delivered to 3400 homes, too.
Users may neeed need to request a new password when they are logging in (click the little figure next to the search glass in the upper right corner to log in). Be sure and check your spam folder if you don't see the new password in your email box.
I apologize for any inconvenience. But in the interest of serving our readers timely news as it happens, this endeavor was important.
