Alison Kunz, 24, of Saline, Drowns in Clear Lake

Alison Rachel Kunz, a 24-year-old woman from Saline, drowned in Clear Lake in St. Joseph County June 10, according, to several news websites.

Kunz was swimming near a pontoon boat when she disappeared, according to Mlive. She was reported missing at 5:30 p.m., Saturday. Law enforcement search for her Saturday and Sunday. Divers found her at 12:35 p.m., Sunday, according to Mlive. Her body was recovered in about 15 feet of water, according to the Sturgis Journal, which also reported that alcohol may be a factor.

Clear Lake is located in Fabius Township on the west side of St. Joseph County.

After graduating from Saline High School in 2011 Kunz studied at Western Michigan University, where she earned a bachelor of business administration from the Haworth College of Business.

Kunz worked as human resources manager at Enmark Systems, Inc., in Kalamazoo.

She worked as a server at Mangiamo Italian Grill in Saline for three years. At Saline High School, Kunz participated in DECA and was a member of the competitive cheer team.
