What: St. Paul UCC Basement & Bake Sale

When:  Thursday & Friday, May 17th & 18th at 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., & Saturday, May 19th at 8 a.m to 12 noon

Where: St. Paul United Church of Christ, 122 W. Michigan Ave, Saline

Why: Shop for treasures and a variety of baked goods.

What: Bros & Brews networking & social event

When:  Thursday, May 17th at 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where:  Stony Lake Brewery, 447 E Michigan Ave, Saline, Michigan 48176

Why: Designed to be a networking & social group for professional men in the Saline Area, this monthly event is open to all men looking to connect and network among each other.

Biergarten Beer Tasting @ Salt Springs Brewery

What: Biergarten Beer Tasting

When:  Thursday, May 17th at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why: A one-stop shop for local flowers, plants, produce, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, honey, chocolates candles, jewelry, crafts and more.

Annual Perennial Plant Sale - Saline Stone & Thistle Garden Club

 

What: Annual Perennial Plant Sale hosted by the Saline Stone & Thistle Garden Club.

When:  Saturday May 19th at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WhereSaline District Library, 555 N Maple Rd, Saline

Why: Club members sell perennials, annuals, houseplants, and wildflowers from their own gardens. Master gardeners are on hand to answer gardening questions.

Saline Football Golf Outing

What: Golf 18 holes at Pine View Golf Course and Support the Saline Hornet Football Team

When:  Saturday, May 19th at 8:30 a.m.

Where: Pine View Golf Course, 5820 Stony Creek Rd., Ypsilanti

Why: Come out for a day of golf and support the Saline Hornet Football Team.

Saline Historic District Walking Tours

What: Saline Outdoor Farmers’ Market

When: Saturday, May 19th at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Where: Downtown Saline, in parking lot 1/2 block south of Michigan Av and S. Ann Arbor St

Why: Starting at the Saline Farmers Market, the Saline Historic District Commission will be offering free, 30 minute, guided walking tours of the three Historical Districts in Saline.

Military Rifle Match

What: Military Rifle Match

When: Saturday, May 19th at 9 a.m.

Where: Tri-County Sportsmen's League, 8640 Moon Road

Why: Open to the public, the match will begin with a safety briefing, followed by a the course of fire, which will be 5 rounds slow fire in the prone position for sight-in.

Drive One 4UR School

What: Test drive a Ford and help raise up to $8,000 for the Saline Music Boosters.

When:  Saturday, May 19th at 9 a.m.

Where:  Harvest Elementary School, 1155 Campus Parkway, Saline

Why: This is your chance to take a test drive in a Ford without any deal sales or push.  Take a 10 minute test drive and and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Saline Music Boosters.  No dealer sales.

Paint Around The Library: Ann Arbor Plein Air Group

What: Watch local watercolor and pastel as they paint the landscape around the Saline District Library.

When:  Sunday, May 20th at 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Why: Watch local watercolor and pastel artists share their creativity and art as they paint the landscape around the Saline District Library.  Afterwards, go inside the Library to see examples of their work on exhibit throughout the month of May.

Eats & Beats Block Party

What: A Tented Culinary Block Party hosted by Saline Main Street

When:  Sunday, May 20th at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where:  Downtown Saline, South Ann Arbor Street

Why: You’ll find the block lined with tables full of culinary creations and surprises from Saline’s speciality shops.  There will also be live music from Jake Kershaw. 

Cost: Event is free, food tickets $1/each.

 

 

Garden Bros Circus

What: Garden Bros Circus

When:  Monday, May 21st at 4:30 p.m. and  7:30 p.m.

Where:  Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor Saline Road

Why: 90 minute show in a Theatrical European 3-ring setting.  Many fascinating acts, including a Human Pyramid, Daring Aerial Artists,  Motorcycles in the Sphere of Fear, Contortionists and Jugglers who performed on America’s Got Talent
