Billy Brandt of The Sugarees is a mainstay of the Detroit music scene and one of Michigan’s most awarded songwriters His rootsy, folky and sometimes psychedelic brand of alt-country has been influenced by the likes of Gram Parsons and the Grateful Dead. In his long and storied career, has shared the stage with icons like Pat Benetar and Jethro Tull, and he was won multiple Detroit Music Awards, including Best Acoustic Vocalist, Instrumentalist and Songwriter.
