Downtown this afternoon, I saw that the Christmastime "Letters to Santa" mailbox had made its annual appearance. Dunno if today was its first day, or just the first time I've seen it.
That wasn't so much my concern as the day it is: Today is ten days before Thanksgiving. Do we celebrate Thanksgiving any more? Or is it just a sorta launching platform for Black Friday, the day after? Maybe there's some other reason to skip over it altogether as far as acknowledgements and celebrations go.
Rather than post a poll, I'll simply ask for comments here. Is this the right time for Christmas? Or is it too early? if so, by how much is it coming premature?
Why do you think so?
