Given the newly announced "Saline Selects: Holiday Light Contest," I thought it might be helpful to start a "how-to" on the subject.
The photograph above was exposed at f/16 and a 1/4-second exposure, ISO 400. I set up just before the sun went down and ran brackets until the sky had gone pitch black, choosing the option above as best balanced. All ambient lighting is from God, house lighting by Mike Gudith. Digital camera operation was all manual.
