Salty Summer Sounds, an outdoor concert brought to you each week by Saline Main Street puts the limelight on 60s and 70s British pop performed by local rockers, The Invasion.

Known for playing the “toppermost of the poppermost,” The Invasion is Southeast Michigan’s premiere British Invasion cover band. Band members Bob, Ron, David and Donn were drawn together from a love of the music from the other side of the pond that came to us in the 1960s. All four members sing tight, well crafted harmonies.

A recent review had lots to say about the group, "They were outstanding, had a great music mix and really interacted well with the audience!”

All the British Invasion’s music is performed on original instrumentation and amplification – all sung in sweet harmony. The band has been playing together since 2010 and has been influenced by the sounds of the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Monkeys and more.

Salty Summer Sounds street fest takes place every Thursday night June through August from 7 to 9PM on Ann Arbor Street in the heart of Downtown Saline.
