The Summer Music Series – a free, outdoor concert brought to you by Saline Main Street, continues this Thursday, August 2 at 7 pm.
This week the series features The Memphis Thrillbillies. The five-piece Rockabilly combo based in Southeast Michigan, covers classics from the early Memphis days to the latest of the rockabilly revival.
The highlight of their show features award winning Elvis tribute artist, Colin Dexter who pays homage to the early years of “the King’s” legendary career. Dexter has performed throughout the Midwest and Canada and has recently signed a recording contract with the Echola Records label.
Each member prides themselves on putting on a great show, taking aim to make sure the audience has a memorable time whenever they see them. Band members include, Colin Dexter (vocalist), Shay Allen (vocalist), Scott Allen (guitar and vocals), Mike Crosley (upright bass guitar), and AJ Kahn (drums and vocals). Artists the band cover include: Elvis Presley, Janice Martin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Wanda Jackson, The Everly Brothers, Little Richard, Stray Cats, Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline, Buddy Holly and many more!
All Summer Music Series concerts begin at 7:00pm on S. Ann Arbor St. in downtown Saline.
The series is free to all guests and highlights a wide variety of cultured musicians. In addition to the spectacular music, guests can enjoy downtown Saline’s favorite eateries and unique shops. The goal of Summer Music Series is to bring people to our downtown, both from our local community and beyond. Feel free to bring your friends and enjoy a nice summer evening in downtown Saline!
