Benito's Pizza appears to be leaving downtown Saline. The South Ann Arbor Street building which houses the pizzeria is being advertised as a space for a potential restaurant or cafe.
The former owners of Benito's Pizza moved the restaurant from it's East Michigan Avenue plaza to downtown Saline in 2013. By 2016, the restaurant closed. It later reopened under ownership of the franchise parent company.
According to the advertisement on Loopnet, the 1,770-square foot space is available within 30 days, as the current tenant is ready to vacate. Rent is $2,490 a month plus utilities and other costs.
The owner of the building is First 100 LLC, which purchased the building from Linda Murawski, of Waggles and Whiskers, for $492,000 in 2016. First 100 LLC lists John Wehr, a Saline resident and dentist, as a chief officer.
