City of Saline voters will elect three people to Saline City Council during the Nov. 7. 2017 general election.
Prospective candidates must pull their petitions from the city clerk’s office and return them to the clerk’s office by 4 p.m., July 20.
Councillors Linda TerHaar, Jack Ceo and Heidi McClelland will see their terms expire at the end of 2017. All three candidates have pulled petitions to run for re-election, said City Clerk Terri Royal. Ceo is the only person to submit his petition to the clerk’s office, according to Royal.
Members of council will serve from January of 2019 to December of 2020. Members of city council attend two regular council meetings a month on Monday. They often attend a work meeting before the regular meeting. There are special meetings and joint meetings several times a year. Council members also serve on other civic boards and commissions.
