Six candidates will vie for two six-year terms on the Saline Board of Education in the Nov. 6 general election.
The filing deadline passed at 4 p.m., Tuesday.
Susan Estep was the final candidate to file. She is joined on the ballot by incumbent Scott Hummel and candidates Thomas Frederick, Brian Woodruff, Richard Conn, and Jennifer Steben.
The ballot hasn’t been finalized. Candidates can withdraw their names from the ballot if they do so by July 27.
There’s not much to report on the City of Saline ballot. Brian Marl, seeking re-election as Mayor, and Dean Girbach, seeking another term on City Council, have both had their nomination petitions verified since our last update. The city clerk’s office had previously verified the petition of Janet Dillon, who is seeking re-election. Incumbent Christen Mitchell and Brian Cassise are circulating petitions. Voters will chose three members of council in November.
