Enjoy a retrospective of the Saline Area Players'  40 years of community entertainment at an anniversary gala, at 8 p.m., Saturday, at Liberty School's auditorium. The show will include performances of stars of the past, photos of past shows, cameo appearances of colorful characters and group singing. Hear songs from South Pacific, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Annie, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Bye Bye Birdie and others. 

Tickets are $10 each, which includes the show and the afterglow party at Mac's. 

The Saline Area Players' 40th Anniversary Gala is tomorrow night, Saturday, June 22 at 8PM at Liberty.  Join us for a fun evening at the theater which is packed with songs, stories, and some very eccentric characters.  Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or ahead of time.  The website has all the details.  Also, all who come to the show are invited to a party at Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack immediately following for hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.  It is the best deal in town.

The grant will help the department upgrade outdated Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus equipment, which is critically important when responding to fires emitting harmful fumes and chemicals,

Bastien was fourth in the decathlon at the USA Track & Field Junior Nationals at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Robbie Felton, Aaron Milley, Spencer Leslie and Trevor Bishop set a Saline Middle School record in the boys' 4-by-800 relay while competing at the Mid-Michigan MEGASTAR meet in Shepherd, Michigan.

Trainer Cindy Coakley leads the class.

Teams play Thursdays and Sundays.

McDonough was one of 347 students who maintained a 3.5 GPA while completing 12 credits.

Stephanie Renee Spencer of Saline received a MS in Human Development and Family Studies

Grimes was a sophomore Exercise & Movement Science and Nursing major during the spring semester.

Abigail Wrobleski, a member of the class of 2016 at Connecticut College and a resident of Saline, has been named to the Dean's Honors list for the 2013 spring semester.

I just returned from the dress rehearsal of Saline Area Players' 40th Anniversary Gala which will be performed this Saturday, June 22 at 8PM at Liberty School.  It was incredibly exciting.  Each new person that walked in the door was greeted by a fellow thespian from their past.  Hearing and seeing friends from a 40-year time span performing again was fabulous.  And there was so much laughing as stories were shared.

Enjoy this picture from Saline Area Player's The Sound of Music in 2011.  Jane Arvidson Panikkar and Richard Knapp, both of Saline, who played Maria and Captain Von Trapp will reprise the song "Something Good" at SAP's 40th Anniversary Gala on Saturday night, June 22.  The show is at 8PM at Liberty School with tickets at $10 which includes an afterglow party at Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

The Miss Saline Pageant takes place Aug. 27 at the Saline Community Fair.
