Saline Main Street has announced the lineup for the Summer Music Series.

This year’s concert series, which features weekly free Thursday evening concerts, complemented by arts and activities led by Two Twelve Arts Centers, begins June 6. The concert series kicks off with a performance by Beatles tribute band Toppermost.

Councilor Lee Bourgoin suggested reducing the size of the Saline Police Department would help reduce costs. Mayor Brian Marl said he would not risk jeopardizing safety and security of residents.

 

Here’s a quick rundown of the action at Monday’s Saline City Council proceedings. Council discussed the budget at a work session which began at 6 p.m.  The regular meeting took place at 7:30 p.m.

Many of Denison's undergraduate students choose to broaden their horizons through off-campus study each semester.

Charles Stankovic, a sophomore in civil engineering from Saline, joined a team of students from Missouri University of Science and Technology will travel to southern Illinois to test the principles of bridge building by constructing a scale model of a steel bridge.
