Saline was undefeated six matches, defeating H.H. Dow in the championship to win its own tournament Saturday.

Saline was down 24-22 in the opening set of the championship but came back to win 27-25. Saline controlled the second set from beginning to end, winning 25-16.

After losing to Bedford Tuesday, Saline coach Kenny Seiler he wanted his team to stay focused and intense during the entire tournament.

Hayden Smith scored two goals to lead Saline past Skyline, 6-4, in water polo action at Skyline Oct. 4.

Saline finished four strokes back of the winners from St. Ursala.

Saline City Council designated Salt Springs Park as the city's 12th park at Monday's meeting.

Saline's newest park was founded after discovery that connects to the town's ancient natural features – salt springs.

Griffin Wooley ran for two touchdowns, 134 yards and caught a touchdown. Saline ran for over 300 yards and improved to 5-1.

The lap pool pump motor went out at 8 am Friday morning. The lap pool is currently closed while we are working as fast as we can to make the necessary repairs.

 POOL UPDATE:  It looks like the pool pump/motor has to be replaced.  One has been located but will not be here until Monday.  We expect the installation will take us until Wednesday to get the pool back up and running. 

Calls regarding swim lessons and Water Aerobics will be made to each registrant.  We will try to accommodate as much in the small pool as possible. 

The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce invites the communiuty to participate in the 38th Annual Holiday Parade in Saline at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.

The parade is well known as one of the biggest and best Holiday Parades in all of Southeast Michigan. “

Saline Main Street's Ladies Night Out takes place from 3 to 9 p.m. next Thursday in Downtown Saline. This year's event has been expanded to Stone Arch Arts & Events.

Saline got goals from six different players to improve to 9-0-1 in the SEC with one game to play.

Michael Peck pled guilty to conspiracy charges after leaving GPS units on a dock for a co-conspirator to take and sell on eBay.

Joseph C. Marx, a Saline resident for over 38 years, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Ann Arbor.

Joe was born on April 15, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Joseph and Edna (Gangel) Marx, both deceased. Joe and his wife, Rosemond, have been members of the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline for over 38 years.

The Foundation for Saline Area Schools hopes to raise at least $75,000 for a pilot program of next-generation classrooms in the school district.

With a matching contribution from the Chamber, the concert generated $1,400. More donations are needed, however, as the Chamber has now raised $17,000 toward the total cost of $55,000 to purchase and restring LED lights on 87 trees in Downtown Saline.

Council appears to be leaning toward a policy that would give city water users one chance to be late on water bills before penalties are issued. Large water users would also have penalties capped.
