The local business is donating the money to the Foundation for Saline Area Schools after a holiday "Facebook Challenge."

Soccer player Abbey Sovitch earned a scholarship to Siena Heights University, where she will study nursing and play soccer.


Pamela Zibbell was known to many in Saline for her work with the Saline Farmers Market and Saline Area Historical Society.

Downtown Saline

Pam Zibbell, of Adrian, died after suffering injuries in a head-on collision on U.S. 12 Saturday morning. She was on her way to the Farmers Market, where she was a vendor.

Saline's swim and dive team set more records, but the team got a scare from a strong Brother Rice team.


The Saline High School Video Production Studio was recently upgraded using funds dedicated to the production facility from the franchise fee paid by Comcast to support community access programming.  "We were able to make some significant updates to our ability to produce content." said Community Education Director Brian Puffer.  "Video technology is changing rapidly and it's exciting to be able to have some of the newer equipment."  


One person was critically injured in the crash, which closed U.S. 12 for two hours.

Saline's application to have the Rentschler Farm added to the National Register of Historic Places has been accepted. Now it will be reviewed.

John Bardocz is survived by his wife, five children and 14 grandchildren.


A 16-year-old boy, with two teenage girls in his father's pickup truck, led Saline Police on a chase through city streets, icy township roads and fields.
