More and more fresh fruits and vegetables are showing up on vendors’ tables. It’s that time of year when the plants are maturing and fresh ripe veggies and fruit are ready for purchase. Lots of flowers are still available as well as yummy baked goods, fresh local eggs, fresh roasted coffee beans, sweet maple syrup and honey, hand-made cheese, jams, and hand-crafted items and more.
Stop by either Saturdays 8am-noon, May-Oct., Downtown on S. Ann Arbor Street or Tuesdays from 3pm-7pm, June-September at the Saline District Library.

The picnic takes place July 14 VFW Post on Wagner Road.
The Saline Relay for Life wrapped up early Saturday night, but not before participants raised nearly $45,000 for the fight against cancer.
The annual party, which benefits the Saline High School crew program, moves to Stone Arch Aug. 20.

Henchey earned a Bachelor of Arts.
Willis graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree in Special Education Intervention Specialist.
Saline's youth band will be immersed in old time fiddle culture on the tour, which started June 30 and finishes July 10.

90 minutes of rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of the participants at the Saline Relay for Life.
