Everyone said Obama needed to win big in District 52 for Driskell to have any chance at winning, but Driskell outpolled Ouimet by 3,037 while Obama outpolled Romney by 2,177. In that sense, Driskell outperformed President Obama.

The Saline Craft Show at the Saline Middle School needs all of the parking at Liberty School so the Winter Farmers Market will be closed on Saturday, November 10. Be sure to visit this fabulous Craft Show.
It was a successful opening of the Indoor Winter Farmers Market on Saturday, November 3 with over 25 vendors with a wide variety of produce, baked goods, specialty items and crafts of all kinds. The Winter Market will continue on Saturday, November 17.

Four candidates for school board ran in pairings, but voters mixed and matched.
In a surprise to no-one, Dean Girbach, David Rhoads and Lee Bourgoin were elected to the three open seats on Saline City Council. There were no other candidates on the ballot.
Gretchen Drsikell collected 26,646 votes to Ouimet’s 23,609 votes.
Saline's longtime mayor declared victory after midnight.

Brian Marl will be the next Mayor of the City of Saline.
Marl finished with 2,614 votes (60.01 percent) to Glenn Law’s 1,711 votes (39.28 percent) according to unofficial numbers posted on the Washtenaw County website. Marl won each of the four precincts and carried absentee balloting.
At a post-election gathering at Mangiamo Tuesday night Marl told supporters that while Saline faces challenges, he’s ready to lead.
About 250 vendors will be selling one-of-a-kind items and gifts at the Saline Craft Show Nov. 10 at Saline Middle School. The 26th Annual Saline Craft Show takes place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Veterans Day concert takes place at Saline Middle School at 4 p.m.
Turnout appears up in Pittsfield and down in Saline, compared to 2008 levels.
