The 2020 Saline Celtic Festival has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision of the festival's executive committee was announced on the festival's Facebook page Friday afternoon.

Due to the outbreak of COVID_19, and in the interest of keeping our valued visitors healthy and safe, the Executive Committee of the Saline Celtic Festival has decided that it would be best to cancel the 2020 Festival. We were excited to celebrate our 25th festival with all of you this summer, and are sad to have had to make this decision, but know that it is the right choice to make. Next year, instead, will be our 25th festival, and we're excited to make it bigger and better than ever! We hope that you are all staying healthy and safe, and look forward to celebrating together again in 2021! Please stay tuned to Facebook and Instagram for interactions and updates.

The festival was originally scheduled for July 10-11. City council agreed to an alternate weekend, Aug. 21-22, in hopes of saving the festival this year.

Organizers of Saline's other festivals have not yet announced plans.

Saline Summerfest is scheduled for Aug. 7-8.

The Saline Community Fair remains scheduled for Sept. 2-6.

Saline Oktoberfest is scheduled for Sept. 18-19.
