The City of Saline announced two Rec Center Visioning Sessions to be held later this spring.
“The City’s Recreation Complex is a valued community resource, and it must be preserved”, said Saline Mayor, Brian Marl, “However, it should not be an undue burden on our City’s general fund, and it should be well used and accessible to the entire Saline community. As such, we are eager to solicit feedback regarding what changes, additional programming, or facility upgrades are desired by the residents of the Saline area”.
The Visioning Sessions will be held on:
Wednesday, April 24th
Saline City Hall, Council Chambers
100 North Harris Street
Saline, MI 48176
Thursday, May 2nd
Rec Center, Multipurpose Room
1866 Woodland Drive
Saline, MI 48176
The Visioning Sessions will be facilitated by Lisa Shea, Associate Director of the University of Michigan’s Recreational Sports Department. Associate Director Shea is also a local fitness instructor, and her background and perspective make her an ideal candidate to lead these discussions. Each Session will include a brief program, and ample time for residents to share their thoughts and ideas. Facility staff will also be on hand to address questions or concerns. Finally, each event should last no longer that an hour and a half –
All Rec Center patrons and area residents are encouraged to attend. RSVP’s are not necesssary,
and each event will include light refreshments.
