The City of Saline will be hosting a public open house at the Saline WasteWater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at 247 Monroe Street on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9am – 1pm. The public is invited to stop by the WWTP for an opportunity to view the recent upgrades to the plant as a result of the phase I and II improvements projects. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers pertaining to the Saline WWTP.
Mayor Brian Marl stated, “This is a great opportunity for the citizens of our city to learn more about the recent rehabilitation project, and the multimillion dollar investment in this vital service. I encourage my fellow Salinians to attend this event, as staff will be able to address any questions or concerns, as well as inform residents about how this improves operations to benefit the entire city." City Manager Todd Campbell added, “Our City team is looking forward to welcoming community members to the Saline WWTP at the October 22nd open house, so we can show folks around the facilities to help educate them on how the plant operates on a daily basis.”
