Work to repair the roof and a wall at the Saline Rec Center is more than 50 percent complete.
Monday, Saline City Council approved to pay Mays Consulting $67,125 for construction administration and supervision. It amounts to about half of the nearly $135,000 the city is paying Mays Consulting for the $1.5 million project.
The work is being done by Whitmore Lake-based CEI Michigan, LLC.
Carla Scruggs, director of Parks and Rec, said the project is progressing and that Mays Consulting has provided a valuable service on site as construction monitor.
