CORONAVIRUS: Washtenaw County Health Department Reports 3 New Deaths, 13 Recoveries

Three more Washtenaw County residents died as a result of COVID-19 according to today's county health department data, bringing the toll to 18.

According to Washtenaw County Health Department data:

  • The number of positive cases rose by 22 to 689.
  • The number of new hospitalizations was seven, bringing the total to 202.
  • The number of recoveries was increased by 13 to 162.
  • There was one new case in Saline's 48176 zip code, bringing the total to 38. View zip code data here.

Washtenaw County Health Department will not update the data on Easter Sunday.

In Michigan, the daily death count fell to 111. Yesterday, the daily count was a record 205. The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Michigan is now 1,392. There were 1,210 confirmed cases reported today, down from 1,279 yesterday. The total number of cases now stands at 23,993. 

Everyone is at risk for coronavirus and should continue taking every precaution to help slow the spread of illness.

  • Stay home.
  • Avoid any gatherings.
  • Go out only for essentials like food or medicine.
  • If you do go out, wear a cloth covering over your nose and mouth and keep a distance of six feet from others.
  • Wash your hands well and often.
  • If you have symptoms that are getting worse, or if you have shortness of breath, call your physician or healthcare provider.
  • If you have emergency symptoms like difficulty breathing, chest pain, or feeling faint, call a hospital emergency department or 9-1-1.
