The Rentschler Farm Museum will be a busy stop as Michigan’s Longest Garage Sale kicks off Friday on US-12.
The Saline Area Historical Society has lined up 25 vendors to sell their goods at the sale, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9-10. The Rentschler Farm Museum is located at 1265 E. Michigan Ave.
“We’ll have all kinds of collectibles and antiques and other unique items,” said Jim Peters, President of the Saline Area Historical Society.
Among the vendors are Joy Ely, owner of the Pineapple House. She uses the sale to move surplus or older model items from the inventory of her downtown shop.
The event is an important fundraiser for the historical society, which operates and helps to maintain the City of Saline’s historical museum at the Rentschler Farm Museum and the Depot Museum.
